    Hey, I'm Maggie

    I'm a dietitian and I'm here to help you and your family enjoy healthy eating.

     

    I use Intuitive Eating to help people find food freedom by ending the dieting cycle, reducing food guilt, and improving nutrient variety. I help families make mealtimes more enjoyable with specializations in picky eating and baby-led weaning.

     

    I am a weight-inclusive dietitian which means that my service is free of weight stigma and I do not use weight as an indicator of health or a measurement of success. I work to educate my clients and community on the research that shows the harm in weight-based interventions.

     

    Together we can empower ourselves and our future generations to know that our bodies are good and food is an enjoyable part of self-care.

    What can I expect when I book a counseling appointment?

    New clients will receive an email with log-in information to the client portal, Practice Better. Within Practice Better, clients can schedule meetings, fill out initial paperwork, and securely message the dietitian. This is also where clients and the dietitian meet to video chat. During the video chat appointment, payment is due at the time of service. Appointments last 60 minutes. Out of pocket payments are due at the time of service

    Most clients work with the dietitian for six months to a year.

    Do you take insurance?

    Yes, Tomata is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina.
